The regeneration of an existing trade retail and light industrial site including: the demolition of 14 units; the newbuild of 3,730 sq m of retail; the newbuild of
6,715 sq m of light industrial/trade counter units to Landlords shell & core specification, including provision for 180 parking spaces. The scheme has had to meet BREEAM 'Excellent' criteria and a 10% renewable energy usage which has been achieved through the extensive use of photo-voltaic cells and also the inclusion of a landmark free-standing wind turbine.
ikon provided project management and strategic delivery advice throughout the planning process; including successfully managing the de-rating of the existing buldings.
In addition to fulfilment of the 'one-stop shop' suite of services to deliver the scheme, ikon's broader role included working closely with Schroders sustainability policy consultants to ensure that the scheme meets their requirements.
