ikon was appointed by the client to lead the
promotion and delivery of this key Government
initiative geared to delivering homes on public sector
land working closely with fourteen local authority
pilot areas across the country. ikon prepared business
case support for consideration by the Treasury and
Office for National Statistics, provided regular
updates on delivery plans of local authority pilot
areas and worked with specific local authorities to
develop their business case evaluation.

development of the Local
Housing Company concept,
leading a cross-departmental
project team including
representation from the client,
the Housing Corporation and
regular liaison with
Communities and Local
Government, and HM Treasury.
